Tender and juicy pulled pork seasoned “a lo Cubano” with citrus, cumin and garlic, served over crispy tostones (fried flattened plantains), topped with caramelized onion and queso fresco, with a fresh crunchy coleslaw on the side.
A vegetarian option with fresh guacamole, sauteed peppers and queso fresco is also available.
Aland Portillo is one of the most experienced veteran chefs to grace the Depanneur’s humble kitchen. A Red Seal chef, whose resume includes the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Rosedale Golf and Country Club, Aland was a seasoned restaurateur in his native Colombia.
