Eggs in any kind of rich spicy sauce is one of my favourite comfort foods – think Middle Eastern shakshuka, Mexican chilaquiles or Italian uova al purgatorio – clearly I’m not the only one who feels this way. Tonight I’m taking inspiration from our guest speaker Signe Langford‘s new book “Happy Hens & Fresh Eggs“, a combination guide to keeping chickens, along with 100 egg recipes. I’ve picked out a yummy-looking dish of whole eggs cooked in a North Indian-style masala curry along with tender panneer cheese, served with a bit yogurt, warm naan bread and a crunchy Burmese-style ginger, cabbage and crispy lentil salad.
#vegan (tofu paneer, peas & mushrooms) and #GF options (basmati rice) will also be available.
$12 (+HST)
Plus fresh-baked pie from the wood ovens at Dufferin Grove Park!
