Olivia and Andrea put their own vegetarian spin on these classic Halifax-style “fish” cakes. Made with potatoes and cannellini beans, spiced with white pepper and kelp powder, rolled in breadcrumbs and fried to a crispy, golden crust, and served with a home-made lemon tartar sauce. They come with maple baked beans, authentic Maritime-style molasses brown bread, and a fresh kale and greens salad tossed in a light lemon, garlic dressing.
