Andrea and Kristen met back in their grade 9 first period English Media class and have remained friends ever since. Each of them has developed their own taste and interests in food: Kristen likes to cook for friends while Andrea has been in the food industry for 16 years and currently assists with managing a catering non-profit for a local community centre on the East side.
They’ll be cooking traditional Newfoundland cod cakes with a cool aioli slaw and roasted asparagus on the side.
Every Friday The Depanneur is an ‘open mic’ night for culinary talent in TO, where we invite guest cooks, amateur or professional, to come and make their favourite dishes.
