Shepherd’s Pie ranks pretty high up there on the old-school comfort food classics — savoury ground meat & veg with a mashed potato topping crisped up a bit in the oven — but that doesn’t mean it can’t get a fun update. This version uses ground Ontario lamb with some Moroccan spices and tops it off with a golden sweet potato and squash mash. I’ll be doing a vegan option too, with nutty lentils & veggies.
Served with a crunchy cabbage and fennel salad.
