My last Drop-In Dinner of 2013 is my big Thank You to all the wonderful people who have come out and supported The Dep this year, featuring one of the most expensive and sought-after ingredients in the world – fresh White Alba and Black Burgundy truffles supplied by Marc Eber of Marc’s Mushrooms.

Mushroom expert and all-around fungi (sorry) Marc Eber supplies many of Toronto’s finest restaurants and specialty stores with rare and wild foraged mushrooms from around the world. Marc will be at The Dep this Tuesday between 6:30-7:30 with a selection of fresh, in-season Black and White Truffles, available for purchase at LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE of truffles at gourmet food shops in T.O. Marc will also be able to answer questions about the different kinds and qualities of truffles, as well as how to best store and use them. This is a very special opportunity to get a rare and precious gift for any foodie on your list.
