One of the highlights of our Spring 2013 lineup was Kendra Simmonds‘ amazing Craft Beer Tasting Menu. Developed in collaboration with Greg Clow of Canadian Beer News, this meal featured half a dozen unique local brews incorporated into an elegant 5-course menu, along with a tasting flight of matching beers. Special treats included exclusive tastings of two new beers not yet available for sale at the LCBO. The event was so successful that we are working to turn it into a quarterly celebration of local craft beer and ingredients.
For the Summer edition, Kendra had put together a fun beer-infused menu full of creative dishes that showcase Ontario’s summer harvest.

Beer Braised Beef Short-Rib
Polenta with grilled corn, roasted cherry tomatoes & kale

3 Layer Sorbet Trifle with Pretzel Crust
Wheat beer shandy, raspberry wheat beer, and orange wheat beer sorbets
– with Kensington Watermelon Wheat by Kensington Brewing Company
The meal will be served with a tasting flight of all the beers used in the creation of the dishes – stay tuned for details as our we get local breweries on board.
