SUPPER CLUB: Nowruz – Persian New Year by Shayma Saadat and Bahareh Hosseini

March 23, 2013 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

This year, March 20th will mark the beginning of Nowruz, the celebration for Persian New Year. Nowruz, a traditional festival of Spring, means ‘new day’ in Persian and begins on the first day of the vernal equinox. Nowruz is all about new beginnings and rejuvenation after the cold Winter.

Join Shayma Saadat, award-winning food writer and photographer and Bahareh Hosseini, a Health and Wellness Specialist, for a feast to celebrate Nowruz. With saffron, almonds and pistachios taking centre stage in Shayma and Bahareh’s family heirloom dishes, this will be a wonderful way to savour and experience Persian cookery.
