Sorry, but this workshop has been cancelled – we hope to run it again in the new year.
Mince pies have been eaten as part of a traditional British Christmas since the 1600s. Don’t be fooled by the name, though in the 1600s it was made with meat, “mincemeat” has since transformed into a sweet mixture of dried fruits, sugar & spices.
Attend this workshop with Lisa Sanguedolce from Le Dolci and learn to make this classic holiday dish of rich, sticky & sweet fruits wrapped in pastry treat. Each participant will learn to make pastry crust, there will be some delicious fresh mince pie to snack on, and everyone will get to take home a few mince pies to enjoy over the holidays! We might even make a few Eccles Cakes as a bonus treat. (What’s an Eccle Cake? Well, I guess you’ll have to take the class to find out!)
