WORKSHOP: Fall Preserving – Red Onion Jam & Sun-Dried Tomato Mustard with Christine Manning

We have been having an amazingly warm fall, but with each falling leaf and new layer of clothes, the craving for hearty food increases. It’s the season for roasts, turkey and casseroles, and the delicious, homemade condiments that make them shine.

Learn the ins & outs of home canning as we make two perfect fall preserves; a heart warming red onion marmalade and a whole-grain mustard enlivened with sun dried tomato – both certified to warm you from the inside out.

Join Christine Manning, owner of Manning Canning and long-time preserver for this class that will give you the basics of jar sterilization, safe canning practices and important do’s and don’ts of canning and preserving. You will also get a copy of the recipe to take home and at least 1 jar of each of the preserves you’ve made for your Autumn pantry.
