Holistic Nutritionist Kate Leinweber returns with an all-new installment of her popular after-school cooking workshop for kids 8-12. This is a fun, hands-on series of classes that engages your child with healthy food and helps build kitchen confidence. In these classes kids learn useful food and nutrition basics, cooking skills and kitchen safety, how to make good foods choice to support their bodies, and even how to clean up a little too (hopefully!).
Week 1 – Breakfast
Desserts as breakfast. This class will experiment with taking some yummy desserts and making them in a nutritious way that gives kids the energy they need to start the day.
Week 2 – Lunch
Wrap it, Vietnamese style. Using rice wraps kids will create their own wrap and tasty dipping sauce.
Week 3 – Dinner
Stuff it! Stuffed portabello mushrooms & zucchini boats.
Week 4 – Dessert
Upside down desserts. Flip, flop these desserts are going to be super yummy!
