She will show us how to safely identify wild species and will discuss medicinal and culinary uses of what we find.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn September will be searching for \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRussulas, Hedgehogs, Boletes \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eand\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e Gem Studded Puffballs. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eOther fungi such as the \u003cstrong\u003eGiant Puffball\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eSummer Oysters\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eAngel Wings\u003c\/strong\u003e might also be waiting to be discovered. It's always an adventure — you never know what you'll find!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs an added bonus, all participants will get to take home a sample of assorted cultivated mushrooms from \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.freshandtastymushrooms.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eFresh and Tasty Mushrooms\u003c\/a\u003e, along with some \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHen of the Woods\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e (aka \u003cem\u003eMaitake\u003c\/em\u003e, an especially delicious and medicinal mushroom) from \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/shogunmaitake.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eShogun Maitake\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e for their cooking pleasure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe will meet at 10am at a location within 90 minutes of Toronto.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNote:\u003c\/strong\u003e For this seasonal excursion we hope to explore a new bioregion in the Cambridge\/Kitchener area.
