Katie Cyr's first experience with tea comes from the memory of drinking Irish Breakfast with her grandmother out of delicate teacups. Today, as a Certified Tea Sommelier, she carries that same reverence and passion for the art of tea into her day-to-day life. Katie founded The Monarch Tea Co. in 2014 with the vision of bringing together the traditional elegance of tea time with a modern twist. She offers her bespoke tea online and in select retailers, alongside interactive virtual and in-person tea workshops taught worldwide, and also gives free tea talks at seniors' centres and volunteers with Meals on Wheels.
