Over the past year, Chef Fayad Martin of Havana Chef Table, together with the irresistible Cuban rhythms of Papalote, have brought the spirit and soul of Havana to several unforgettable, sold-out dinners at The Dep. Tonight, Chef Martin draws in flavours from across the Caribbean and Latin America — bright, tangy ceviche, indulgent seafood rice, crispy, golden fish, decadent, creamy flan — all set to the melodies of live Cuban Son.

Caribbean Ceviche
Fresh seafood ‘cooked’ with tart lime juice is a popular dish across all of Latin America, from Mexico to Peru. Here cured snapper and shrimp, yellow pepper, extra-virgin olive oil, and cilantro are ladled over tender sweet potato (camote).

Yuca Frita
Yuca (aka cassava or manioc) is a root vegetable native to South America and widely cultivated in the Caribbean. Fried until golden, with a crispy exterior and creamy interior, they remain a popular snack and side dish.

Arroz Marinero
A celebratory seafood rice — think a Caribbean paella — loaded with langostinos, shrimp, mussels and scallops, finished with carrots and green peas.

Haddock Dorado with Parsley-Lime Aioli
Golden, delicately breaded haddock served with a bright house-made parsley and lime mayonnaise.

Sweet Fried Plantains
Ripe plantains fried until caramelized and golden.

Fresh Green Salad
A crisp seasonal green salad with a light house dressing.

Classic Cuban Caramel Flan
Silky Cuban-style custard topped with a deep golden caramel.
